Take a look at “Confessions of a Public Speaker”, “The Confident Speaker”, and “Slide:ology”. It's an story-filled ramble through the life of someone who talks for a living. Jan Schultink recommended this book and I enjoyed it. It isn't that it is hard to read, or boring, as it is neither of these. The seminar starts off in a typical fashion, with opening remarks and the national anthem or the school hymn. Read – Dale Carnegie's “The Quick and Easy Way to Effective Speaking” still gets high marks today. Gain a full understanding of the key business ideas in Confessions of a Public Speaker by Scott Berkun. At FOSDEM, I was given a copy of “Confessions of a Public Speaker” by Scott Berkun (thanks, Josette!).
